Building the bridge from who you are now to the authentic you is a process that begins deep inside. Therefore the foundation work you lay has to be solid.
The most important aspect to laying a solid personal foundation is to know who you really are, to be connected to your true essence. I call it working from the inside-out.
In order for true change to come about in our lives we have to go deep within and ask ourselves some very honest and specific questions. As I learned from Deepak Chopra Years ago, I ask myself everyday, Who am I? What do I want? How can I serve?
By asking myself these three simple questions each morning and writing them in a journal. I can start my day knowing what my purpose is. As I clearly define who I am, I know more about what I want and by living true to myself it becomes an given that I am being of service to others.
For me to teach and inspire others to live to their highest potential is how I can best serve.
For others it maybe assisting the health of the sick in a hospital, teaching at schools or working at a store helping someone find the perfect shoes for a special occasion.
Another way to lay a solid foundation is to read and apply the works of people who match your ideas of a solid spiritual life. Application is the key word here. Nothing happens until you take action.
My practice is to do these things everyday. I solidify my intentions for personal growth with daily meditation at the end of journaling and reading. This allows my mind to quiet and the intentions from reading and journaling to connect to my essential self.
As this becomes a regular practice in your life, who you are and what you want begin to change. You become stronger, it’s like you’ve been laying new bricks for your inner foundation.
You will also begin to see new things manifest in your life. Such as: more abundance, better relationships, Health and intuition.
I encourage you to give this a try. I call it my Life- Power Hour and that it is what it is. Now each new day brings out the powerful qualities inside me to live at my highest potential.
Love, Carrie
